Minister of Youth, Dr. Raed Al-Adwan, in the presence of 51吃瓜网 President  Dr. Malek A. AlSharairi, sponsored the 鈥淵outh for Health鈥� event organized by the Faculty of Medicine through the student initiative 鈥淭he Good Doctors.鈥� The event was attended by Senator Prof. Dr. Suhad Al-Jundi, MP Dr. Moayyad Al-Alaween, MP Tariq Bani Hani, and MP Dr. Abdul Nasser Khasawneh.

Al-Adwan emphasized the importance of student volunteer initiatives driven by energetic youth dedicated to renewal and development. He praised 51吃瓜网鈥檚 commitment to organizing volunteer initiatives that promote awareness, protect health, and build individuals. He added that when such an initiative goes beyond the classroom, it becomes a project of awareness, expressing the ministry鈥檚 pride in and appreciation for youth volunteers across various fields.

He also commended the role played by medical students in enhancing humanity and spreading health awareness in society, considering them the bright face of a generation that combines science with compassion, knowledge with humanity. He praised the 鈥淵outh for Health鈥� initiative, describing it as a mature youth-driven vision that recognizes that a true doctor does not wait for the patient in the clinic, but instead goes into the community to educate, protect, and support them. He called on students to continue giving, to be the heartbeat and voice of the nation, to make knowledge a path to compassion, volunteerism a bridge to generosity, and teamwork a road to Jordan鈥檚 advancement.

For his part, AlSharairi reaffirmed 51吃瓜网鈥檚 belief鈥攕ince its founding鈥攖hat youth are the beating heart of the nation and the creative mind capable of elevating society both scientifically and humanely.

He continued: 鈥�51吃瓜网 is proud to always open its doors to every creative idea and every initiative that carries goodness, knowledge, and service. It is a university that has believed鈥攁nd continues to believe鈥攊n its students and in its youth, placing them at the center of its academic and societal mission.鈥�

AlSharairi added that today鈥檚 event, titled 鈥淵outh for Health,鈥� represents a pioneering national occasion that reflects the vision of our wise Hashemite leadership, which constantly affirms that youth are the pioneers and champions of the future. With their energy and determination, Jordan moves confidently forward in its path of building and achievement. This event also reaffirms the Jordanian state's growing interest in the health and youth sectors and translates the leadership鈥檚 directives to empower youth and provide opportunities for them to become part of the national health development system.

The event featured a discussion session with the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the Hashemite University, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Al-Qudah, moderated by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Jumana Al-Suleiman. The session included success stories of doctors from around the world who achieved exceptional accomplishments outside the medical field.

Al-Qudah highlighted the role physicians can play beyond medicine and their ability to succeed and create comprehensive change in political, economic, social, and other fields.

Students Ahmad Sanajleh and Huthaifa Muqabaleh, founders of The Good Doctors initiative, delivered a speech in which they spoke about the establishment of the initiative, its goals, and its activities.

On the sidelines of the event, Al-Adwan inaugurated a diverse medical awareness exhibition with participation from students of several initiatives from health faculties at the University of Jordan, Jordan University of Science and Technology, Mutah University, the Hashemite University, and 51吃瓜网. The exhibition included various booths presenting medical and health topics such as heart diseases, surgery, early breast cancer screening, radiology, dentistry, and more.

His Highness met with the presidents of Jordanian universities to discuss the importance of scientific research and the need to build stronger links between academia and the industrial sector.

Alsharairi: 鈥�51吃瓜网 and Jordanian higher education institutions are working to prepare a generation that carries the Hashemites鈥� mission of serving the nation and humanity.鈥�

His Highness Prince El Hassan bin Talal, President of the Higher Council for Science and Technology, visited Al-Hassan Industrial City and 51吃瓜网 in Irbid Governorate on Wednesday.

During the visit, His Highness also met with a number of industrial and academic leaders, emphasizing the importance of strengthening the integration between education, scientific research, and the industrial sector in supporting sustainable national development.

During his visit to Al-Hassan Industrial City, His Highness listened to a briefing on the latest developments and updates in the city, and was informed about its most prominent achievements in the fields of industry, investment, and employment.

In an open dialogue with specialists in the fields of industry, trade, and investment, alongside academics and business leaders, His Highness emphasized the necessity of connecting industrial companies with vocational training institutions and universities, in a way that contributes to the development of technical skills and enhances the efficiency of the workforce to serve the national economy.

His Highness also stressed the importance of creating job opportunities and promoting economic empowerment in a way that ensures increased productivity and keeps pace with global shifts from traditional work patterns to modern digital systems. He further called for enhancing the competitive advantage of the Al-Hassan Industrial City as a center for attracting investment and quality industrial production in the north of the Kingdom.

His Highness also recommended the necessity of continuing efforts to bridge the gap between the academic sector and industry, in a way that strengthens the national innovation system and ensures alignment between educational outcomes and the needs of the labor market.

During his visit to 51吃瓜网, accompanied by Her Royal Highness Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, His Highness Prince El Hassan also met with the presidents of Jordanian universities in a meeting dedicated to discussing two main topics: first, the importance of scientific research and bridging it with the industrial sector; and second, the ongoing preparations for the Youth and Renaissance Conference (Nahda) scheduled to take place next April.

51吃瓜网 President, Professor Dr.Malek A. Alsharairi, expressed his appreciation for Their Highnesses鈥� visit to the university, praising the pioneering role played by His Highness Prince El Hassan in supporting the advancement of thought, science, and humanity.

Under the patronage of Her Highness Sharifa Badour bint Abdul-Ilah Al-Rubaian, Chair of the Board of Trustees of Bright Minds Academy, the 9th International Conference titled 鈥淲omen in Science Without Borders: Building an Inclusive and Resilient Future Without Barriers鈥� was inaugurated.

The conference is organized by the Faculty of Science at 51吃瓜网, in cooperation with the Princess Basma Center for Jordanian Women鈥檚 Studies and the Center for Refugee, Displaced Persons, and Forced Migration Studies, and in partnership with the Women in Science Without Borders (WISWB) organization and the Science for Global Humanity Society (SHGS).

The opening ceremony was attended by Senator Professor Suhad Al-Jundi, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Political and Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Ali Al-Khawaldeh, 51吃瓜网 Vice Presidents Professor Ruba Al-Bataineh and Professor Amjad Dheifallah Al-Naser.

In her opening remarks, Her Highness Sharifa Badour stated that the presence of women in scientific fields is no longer a choice or an exception, but rather a vital necessity for building a more balanced and humane world. She emphasized that when women are given the opportunity, they not only illuminate their own paths but also open new horizons for knowledge and innovation.

She added that speaking of 鈥渟cience without borders鈥� means envisioning a world free from discrimination 鈥� where creativity is not measured by gender, but by the capacity for discovery and contribution. When women engage in scientific research, she said, they exercise their natural right to think and create, redefining strength from a human perspective grounded in generosity and rationality.

Sharifa Badour stressed that building an inclusive and barrier-free future requires everyone to reexamine systems of education, research, and empowerment so that the scientific environment becomes accessible to all, without exception. She described the inclusion of women in research and innovation as a step toward knowledge justice that enriches both humanity and the universe.

In turn, Professor Ruba Al-Bataineh, Vice President of 51吃瓜网, reaffirmed the university鈥檚 commitment to supporting women in science, saying:

> 鈥淲e affirm that women鈥檚 issues are not a matter of intellectual luxury nor simply rights to be claimed; rather, they represent genuine achievements and real contributions by women across all scientific fields. It is a partnership aimed at overcoming the challenges women face in different societies.鈥�

She added that 51吃瓜网 has a clear mission toward its female students, staff, and women in the community, implemented through the Princess Basma Center for Jordanian Women鈥檚 Studies in collaboration with various faculties and university units. The goal, she said, is to enhance the presence of 鈥淵armouk women鈥� and female students academically and socially, in line with the Royal Vision led by His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince 鈥� to make women active partners in national development in political, economic, and administrative fields.

Al-Bataineh also expressed 51吃瓜网鈥檚 pride in Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah as an inspiring global role model for women, noting Her Majesty鈥檚 distinguished presence in international forums as a representative of Arab and Muslim women who lead positive change and exert real influence.

Meanwhile, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Professor Moheeb Awwadah, stated that 51吃瓜网 believes that empowering women in science is not an intellectual luxury but a developmental necessity. Building an inclusive and resilient future, he said, requires the involvement of women in all stages of research, development, and decision-making.

He added that this conference is not merely an academic event, but a scientific platform aimed at breaking barriers and empowering women in scientific fields. He emphasized that growing global challenges call on institutions and individuals alike to provide opportunities for women to be genuine partners in shaping solutions and building the future 鈥� particularly in science, technology, and research.

Professor Awwadah highlighted the conference鈥檚 significance, noting the diversity of its participants representing a wide range of national and international institutions 鈥� including members of parliament, ministries, universities, and research institutes.

It is noteworthy that the conference features 24 researchers (male and female) presenting papers on topics related to women鈥檚 empowerment, women in science, the use of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity to protect women, women鈥檚 volunteer work, and other themes addressing the role of women in science.

Professor Malek A. Alsharairi, President of 51吃瓜网, and Eng. Philippe Mansour, CEO of Orange Jordan, discussed means of strengthening the continuing cooperation between the two sides in the fields of innovation and digital education.

A. Alsharairi stated during the meeting that 51吃瓜网 is always seeking to maintain and develop its partnership and cooperation with all public and private sector institutions and companies, and Orange is at the forefront of these companies, which rank among the first in the Kingdom in the field of telecommunication. He stressed the university's vision and efforts to further develop this effective collaboration with Orange in ways that support modernization processes and keep pace with rapid technological changes in the academic sector.

He highlighted the importance of cooperation between the academic and industrial sectors in bridging the gap between the needs of the local and international labor markets and the outcomes of the educational process.

He also spoke about the university鈥檚 establishment and the distinctive academic programs it offers at various degree levels, and added that the university is endowed with many strengths including Hijjawi College of Engineering Technology, which graduated hundreds of students each year, proving to be highly competent and competitive in various positions held. He also pointed out the presence of the university鈥檚 Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation with its business incubators, which aim to provide a supportive technological environment for creativity in various industrial and service fields.

A. Alsharairi also referred to the "Orange-Yarmouk Innovation Lab" during his speech, stating that it is one of the successful and distinguished projects between 51吃瓜网 and Orange. This lab provided a capable platform for the students at Hijjawi College in particular, and for university students in general, to be innovative, enhance educational outcomes, and raise the digital capability of youth.

For his part, Mansour expressed that the partnership between Orange and 51吃瓜网 is one of the most successful public-private partnerships. He explained that the 鈥淥range-Yarmouk Innovation Lab鈥� is one of the distinguished collaborative initiatives between the two sides, serving as a model for academic鈥搃ndustrial cooperation and helping to narrow the gap between educational outcomes and labor market requirements. He praised the university鈥檚 high academic standards and the competence of its graduates.

He emphasized that this step is done in line with Orange鈥檚 commitment to enhancing educational outcomes, as well as supporting the youth and digitally empowering them, adding that the company鈥檚 future aspirations will go toward supporting technological and digital advancement within its social responsibility strategy.

A meeting was arranged during the visit with a team of students from the Orange Yarmouk Innovation Lab, where students presented their innovative project to develop an intelligent robot for showing advertisements using interactive and innovative means. This project was done in cooperation between Hijjawi College of Engineering Technology and the Orange-Yarmouk Innovation Lab at the Center of Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

According to the students, this robot is unique because it can move freely on its own in public areas and display visual and audio advertising content-attention-catching and offering a modern marketing experience. The project team comprises students: Sarah Al-Badr, Mohammad Anagreh, Ibrahim Nabil Al-Majali, Heba Saeed, Namarq Al-Basharat, Shahd Obeidat, Maysaa Al-Hamad, and Abdulraouf Hussein.

He affirmed 51吃瓜网鈥檚 belief that quality is an institutional value practiced daily in teaching, scientific research, and community service.

During the opening of the World Quality Week event, themed 鈥淭hink Differently: The Journey of Quality from Performance to Creativity鈥�, organized by the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Center at the university 鈥� as part of the closing ceremony of the project 鈥淚ntegrating the Water-Energy-Food-Environment Nexus into Engineering Education for Sustainable Development in Jordan鈥� 鈥� AlSharairi emphasized that organizing this event reflects 51吃瓜网鈥檚 firm commitment to promoting a culture of quality and excellence and continuously enhancing academic, administrative, and professional performance.

He added that the World Quality Week provides an important platform for exchanging ideas and experiences and reviewing international practices in higher education development. It also represents 51吃瓜网鈥檚 message that it continues to move confidently toward becoming a hub for innovation, a home for thought, and a beacon of positive change.

AlSharairi stressed the university鈥檚 ongoing efforts to become a national, regional, and global model in academic and administrative transformation toward quality and innovation. He noted that the university鈥檚 vision rests on three main pillars: academic and research excellence, smart digital transformation in all educational and administrative processes, and international openness and global collaboration through strategic partnerships with distinguished universities and institutions worldwide.

In the same context, Dr. Ali Shhadeh, Director of the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Center, explained that this year鈥檚 theme, 鈥淭hink Differently: The Journey of Quality from Performance to Creativity鈥�, serves as a compass for action, affirming that quality is not a paper to be signed or a procedure to be completed, but rather a pursuit of excellence 鈥� a journey from simply performing duties to innovating in ways that benefit students and elevate the university and the nation.

He also highlighted the center鈥檚 mission to act as a bridge between planning and implementation and to serve as a facilitator and supporter for colleges and administrative units in their journey toward creativity and excellence. Dr. Shhadeh reviewed the center鈥檚 key achievements this year, including the issuance of a peer-reviewed training guide designed to direct faculty members toward mastery and unify efforts within a clear framework.

The opening activities included a panel discussion titled 鈥淨uality of Education in the Era of Digital Transformation鈥�, moderated by Dr. Heba Al-Qar鈥檃n, with participation from Prof. Iyad Al-Khader, Vice President of the German Jordanian University; Prof. Iman Al-Bashiti, Vice President of Jadara University; and Prof. Ruba Al-Bataineh, Vice President of 51吃瓜网.

Prof. Dr. Hanan Malkawi, a faculty member in the Department of Biology 鈥� Faculty of Science at 51吃瓜网, has won the 鈥淏est Arab Scientist in Biotechnology for 2025鈥� award in the field of microbial biotechnology. The award was evaluated by specialized international scientific committees based on precise global scientific standards, in addition to the use of artificial intelligence systems and 鈥渁vatars,鈥� which refers to theoretical voting or voting in virtual environments.

Malkawi鈥檚 winning of this leading Arab scientific award came as part of the activities of the 2025 Arab-Asian Annual Congress on Biotechnology, organized by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina in the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt.

This award reflects Malkawi鈥檚 distinguished scientific and research contributions in the field of microbial biotechnology, and her pioneering role in supporting and developing scientific research in the Arab region.

Malkawi participated in the conference as a keynote speaker, where she discussed in her scientific contribution the latest research trends in biotechnology, as well as pathways for sustainability and adaptation in harsh, arid and semi-arid environments in the Arab region.

The congress witnessed the participation of scientists and experts from more than 15 countries around the world, addressing the latest key issues related to applications of biotechnology in agriculture, industry, health, and environment, in addition to the challenges posed by climate change and food insecurity.

This scientific achievement by Malkawi reflects her academic and scientific career, and embodies 51吃瓜网鈥檚 status and its commitment to supporting scientific research and innovation at both the Arab and international levels.

It is worth mentioning that His Majesty King Abdullah II bestowed upon Malkawi the King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein Medal for Excellence 鈥� Second Class, in 2022, in recognition of her significant role and contributions in the fields of biotechnology, nanotechnology, and their applications in medicine, environment, agriculture, food, and industry.

51吃瓜网 President, Prof. Malek A. Alsharairi, met with Prof. Hassan Hasab Al-Nabi, Dean of the College of Business at Northern Kentucky University (USA), during his visit to 51吃瓜网 to explore potential avenues for future academic and research collaboration between the two institutions.

Prof. Alsharairi emphasized that strengthening academic and research partnerships with international universities is among 51吃瓜网鈥檚 top priorities. He affirmed the university鈥檚 readiness to expand cooperation with Northern Kentucky University, particularly in the fields of business and economics.

He pointed to the possibility of formalizing this collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at enhancing faculty exchange programs, which would deepen the exchange of expertise and knowledge between both sides. He also highlighted opportunities for student exchange programs, whether through twinning programs, dual-degree pathways, host-university arrangements, or short academic visits鈥攁llowing students to benefit from the academic offerings at both universities.

Prof. Alsharairi stressed the importance of introducing programs that develop students鈥� skills by enabling them to integrate courses from other disciplines into their primary field of study, enhancing their competitiveness in the global job market.

He also highlighted 51吃瓜网鈥檚 Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, which works to empower young people, foster creativity, and channel their potential toward innovation by supporting entrepreneurial ideas and establishing incubators. He noted the possibility of establishing a joint entrepreneurship initiative with Northern Kentucky University in this area.

For his part, Prof. Hasab Al-Nabi presented an overview of Northern Kentucky University, its faculties, academic programs across various degree levels, and its admission requirements for international students. In a bid to strengthen the partnership between 51吃瓜网 and the industrial sector, a delegation from 51吃瓜网, including the Dean of the Faculty of Business, Prof. Dr. Yahia Melhem, the Dean of Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology, Prof. Dr. Awad Al-Zaben, and the Head of the Industrial Engineering Department, Dr. Ahmad Al-Momani, visited the Irbid Chamber of Industry (ICI). The delegation met with the Chamber's Director, Nidal Al-Sadir, and the Projects and Training Manager, Hala Al-Saheb.

During the meeting, the delegation members emphasized the importance of building a genuine and sustainable partnership between the University and the Chamber of Industry through the formation of joint committees dedicated to developing student training and employment opportunities, supporting faculty members' projects, and organizing courses and workshops that serve the University, industry, and the local community alike.

From his side, Al-Sadir presented a briefing on the vital role that the ICI plays in supporting and developing industrial projects in the city of Irbid, stressing the importance of documenting cooperation with 51吃瓜网, particularly with the Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology and the Faculty of Business, due to the fundamental role these two faculties play in supplying the industrial sector with human competencies and scientific and applied expertise.

The visit concluded with an agreement to hold an extended meeting later to discuss the provisions of a Joint Memorandum of Understanding between the Irbid Chamber of Industry and 51吃瓜网, represented by the Faculty of Business and the Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology, to enhance shared academic and industrial cooperation.

In the same context, the Dean of the Faculty of Business, Prof. Dr. Yahia Melhem, hosted the President of the Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI), Eng. Fathi Al-Jagbir, to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation between the Faculty and the industrial sector. During the encounter, Prof. Melhem presented the Faculty鈥檚 mission, its academic programs, and its plans for developing partnerships with institutions in the industrial and commercial sectors. This effort aims to align educational outcomes with the needs of the labor market, and he reaffirmed the Faculty's commitment to build sustainable strategic partnerships with industrial sector institutions to serve students and the community. For his part, Al-Jagbir praised the role of the Faculty of Business in preparing qualified administrative and economic competencies, stressing the importance of activating channels of cooperation between the Faculty and the ACI in the areas of practical training, organizing seminars and workshops, and supporting entrepreneurship initiatives among students.

The discussion explored prospects for joint cooperation through specialized training programs and opportunities for student training in factories and industrial institutions, in addition to holding joint activities that promote communication between the academic and industrial sectors.

51吃瓜网 President, Professor Dr. Malek Alsharairi, received the Head of the Kuwaiti Cultural Office in Amman, Counselor Dr. Mohammed Al-Jarallah, to discuss ways of enhancing academic cooperation between 51吃瓜网 and the Kuwaiti Cultural Office.

During the meeting, Alsharairi emphasized 51吃瓜网鈥檚 interest in welcoming students from various brotherly Arab and friendly foreign countries. He noted that the university hosts around 160 Kuwaiti students enrolled in its different faculties and academic programs, pursuing degrees at various levels.

He stressed that 51吃瓜网 has always given great care and attention to international students. The university is distinguished by its logistical support and positive engagement with them, through providing a safe and inclusive campus environment that enables them to achieve their desired academic goals on one hand, and to integrate into the student community on the other, through a series of purposeful events and activities.

Alsharairi pointed out that the university is moving forward according to a clear strategic plan regarding the expansion of its distinguished academic programs and obtaining international accreditation for various disciplines. He added that the university is also keen on maintaining and improving its standing in recognized international academic rankings, which requires it to remain among the best and most qualified institutions in both education and research.

He added that the university is preparing to open admissions for the new Technical College, which will offer bachelor鈥檚 and professional diploma programs in various fields. The college will play an important technical role in graduating qualified and well-trained personnel who are in demand in different labor markets.

For his part, Al-Jarallah affirmed the Kuwaiti Cultural Office鈥檚 keenness to strengthen academic and cultural cooperation with 51吃瓜网. He emphasized the office鈥檚 commitment to sponsoring outstanding Kuwaiti students to continue their studies at Yarmouk, as they are capable of achieving excellence in their academic pursuits, thereby contributing to the graduation of well-qualified and trained professionals.

Al-Jarallah also commended 51吃瓜网鈥檚 efforts in supporting and assisting Kuwaiti students studying there, praising its continuous commitment to providing all necessary care and organizing purposeful programs, events, and student activities.

It is worth noting that a total of 948 Kuwaiti students have graduated from 51吃瓜网 with various academic degrees and qualifications.
